Microsoft OneNote Released For Android

Microsoft OneNote Released For Android

OneNote is now officially available for Android devices. Up until now, the mobile version of OneNote was available on Windows Phone and iOS and now, finally, Android has joined the party enabling millions of users to sync their OneNote notebooks to their mobile device.

OneNote, which is a part of some versions of Microsoft Office, is a note-taking application which combines the use of text, lists, images, videos, audio clips and free drawing. Users can create different notes, called “Notebooks”, move elements freely around each note and file the notebooks in different folders.

other mobile versions, this one too is somewhat more limited, allowing you to create to-do lists and bulleted lists, use formatted text and highlights, add images (from camera) and edit tables. As for syncing, if you have a SkyDrive account, you can sync all your notebooks between devices and access notebooks on your phone even while offline. There’s also quick access to recent notes.

OneNote for Android is free, and can be downloaded from the Android Market Android 2.3+. Note that if you go over 500 notes, you will have to pay $4.99 for the app, which will get you unlimited use. If you don’t want to pay, you can continue viewing and syncing your existing 500 notes even without upgrading to the paid version. However, you won’t be able to edit or create new notes on the device.
